So...I just got home from picking up my brand new car. It's a super sexy Honda Fit Sport, blue with alloy wheels and OMG I'm so in love!!! Searched high and low to find one of these babies on a lot in Canada, most dealers were telling me that the order time was on average a 2-3 month wait time, and there's NO WAY I could have waited that long! 

So yea, she rides like a dream with air conditioning (LOVE) and an auxilary adapter so I plug my iPod right in. Just looking at her makes me squee and I'm already working on how I can make excuses to drive my car around way more than I really need to.


In other news I have the worst case of writers block. Ever. I have this great, great idea for a first's challenge fic and it's been sitting in my brain for weeks but refuses to transfer onto paper. :( Horribly aggrevating...especially since it's a Sam whumper (or at least I *think* it will...you know how some of them develop a mind of their own) So I'm sorry but my fic offerings will likely be a bit sparse until I can get this under control. (Not that I was all that speedy to begin with really...)

So here's a meme instead. Nicked from wynter_rebel this one made me giggle and think of Cap'n Jack. :)

Ok...So I've gone and done it again. I stumbled onto spn_north the other day and just HAD to sign up for their challenge to write a fic based in a Canadian locale. For those interested in the gritty details the challenge is posted here.

So naturally I picked my good ol' home town of Calgary because well...rodeo!Winchesters is too damn good to pass up and it IS almost Stampede season. 

So the fic deadline is sometime in August, which means that I have quite a bit of work ahead of me if I want to do this properly. I've already started researching local legends and the like...which made my husband look at me even weirder than he normally does when I'm in fangirl mode. I can't wait to see his face when he sees the books on demons and ghosthunting I checked out of the library. :D

Ok, so Oilers/Ducks game 4. Being a born and bred Calgarian through and through I didn't think I could bring myself to watch. Damn this sport for pulling me. It seems not even the carefully cultivated hatred of all things Edmontonian can surpass the patriotism, because damn if it hasn't been WAY too long since the cup has been back in Canuck territory. Also, it would be kinda nice to see Anahiem get their asses handed to them after the embarassment of a game 7 back in Calgary.

So yea, 4-3 Ducks at the moment, but hey, there's still time. I have faith, upsetting though it may be to admit it, in the Edmonton Oilers. At least I won't have to live there next year like my poor unfortunate bro. Heh.

So, Go Oilers GO! Bring that puppy home!

Well I've gone and done it...Joined the LJ revolution so to speak. ;) There's not a whole lot here at the moment as I'm just moving in. I am planning on posting some original poetry and other writings here.

I'm a 20-something female, happily married and living in Ottawa, Canada. I'm at something of a crossroads in my life at the moment, trying to determine where I want my career to go and how to get to my final destination (once I figure out what it might be.) As such I have far too much angst for anyone no longer in their teens. :) I needed an outlet (hurrah for writing and creative expression!) and with any luck a community to work through some of the writer's block that seems to be hounding my every step lately. :)

Likes: I'm currently terribly addicted to the WB show Supernatural for reasons I can't really explain. I will gladly enter into inane conversations on the mental state of Sam and Dean, which has earned me many a strange look and a few threats of visits from the men in white from my real life friends. :)

I dabbled in poetry for years, though my creative juices seem to have dried up lately. I am currently working on a role playing script for a computer gaming company that my husband and several university friends have started.

I love the outdoors and anything relating to the outdoors. Biking, hiking, swimming, skiing, basketball, running, roadtrips, camping, picnics, you name it.

Dislikes: There aren't many really. Eggplant, mosquitoes and on some days the Edmonton Oilers. (What can I say, born and raised in Calgary. ;))


So that's me in a nutshell. And a rather long introduction post. I hope this isn't going to be a sign of things to come, I want to make new friends not scare them away with long winded rants. :) I appreciate any and all feedback on any drabbles or writings that I post here. The only way to improve is to acknowledge past mistakes and learn from them. :)
